CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $35.00–$40.00/hr

Our company in Ontario, CA is looking for an experienced CDL-A driver to haul freight over the road and on local runs. You'll work with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers and hazmat loads, so versatility matters here.

Pay

• $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

• Expected hours: 40.0 per week

What you'll haul

• Freight moved on long-haul OTR routes as well as local deliveries

• Refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers and hazardous materials

• Automobile parts and other specialized cargo requiring careful handling

What you'll do

• Plan and run routes using GPS for efficient, on-time delivery

• Load and unload freight by hand or with equipment, following hazmat and FMCSA rules

• Keep accurate hours-of-service logs, delivery paperwork and inspection records per DOT requirements

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip checks on your truck, trailer and load

• Stay in contact with dispatch about routing, schedules and any issues on the road

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record

• Solid background in commercial driving, both route work and deliveries

• Comfortable with refrigerated trailers, manual transmissions, hazmat handling and general cargo logistics

• Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT rules, plus safety standards for transporting dangerous goods

• Able to manually load and unload freight safely

• Experienced with GPS-based trip planning

• Understands loading and unloading procedures for flatbeds, tankers and similar trailer types

• Strong, safety-focused driving skills with good customer service habits
