CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $27.01–$28.27/hr

Our company in Los Angeles, CA is looking for a CDL-A driver to run over-the-road freight. You'll handle a mix of trailer types and keep deliveries on schedule while staying compliant with safety rules.

Pay

• $27.01 to $28.27 per hour

Schedule

• Expect long hours, including night shifts and weekend work

• Some weeks will go over 40 hours

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailers, with possible refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers on OTR runs to multiple destinations

• Hazardous materials or dangerous goods when applicable, with proper securing and documentation

What the job involves

• Planning routes with GPS while following DOT and FMCSA rules

• Hands-on loading and unloading, including securing cargo correctly

• Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, with extra checks when carrying hazmat

• Keeping logs, inspection records, and compliance paperwork up to date

• Staying in touch with dispatch on scheduling and route changes

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving history; tractor-trailer experience preferred

• Background in route driving and freight handling

• Comfortable with refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, or auto-transport trailers is a plus

• Understanding of hazmat rules and handling requirements

• Confident operating a manual transmission

• Solid grasp of FMCSA and DOT safety standards

• Able to use GPS tools for accurate route planning
