About this job
Our company needs CDL-A drivers for OTR runs hauling a 53ft standard dry van cross-country, mainly on a CA to GA round trip lane.
What you'll haul
- 53ft standard dry van freight
- Long-haul routes crossing state lines
- Mainly round trips between California and Georgia, averaging 4,400 to 4,800 miles per week
Pay
- $2,600 per trip ($2,600.00 per week as listed)
- Paid 7 business days after you finish the trip
- Fuel card, tolls and scales covered by the company
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A
- At least 2 years of recent tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean driving record and able to pass a DOT drug test
- Comfortable using an ELD
- Able to stay out on the road for several days at a stretch
What the job involves
- Running the dry van safely on long-haul routes
- Getting freight delivered on time across state lines
- Doing pre-trip and post-trip truck and trailer checks
- Following DOT rules, hours of service and company safety standards
- Keeping dispatch updated on progress or delays
- Keeping logs and paperwork accurate and current
