CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $0.81 Per Mile, Home After Two Weeks

This is an over-the-road Class A job on a private fleet that delivers straight to the company's own customers across the lower 48. You run late-model sleeper tractors pulling 53' Conestoga step deck trailers, so there is no tarping, and you are out for about two weeks at a time.

Pay

• Total compensation works out to about $0.81 per mile, built from an estimated 130,000 miles a year. That figure covers miles, drops and hours together.

• The company says you could earn $105,000 or more per year, averaging 2,500-2,700 miles a week.

• Pay lands weekly by direct deposit.

• On top of the mileage: hourly pay when you are on duty but not driving, drop pay at each delivery stop, per diem averaging over $10K a year, and a $0.01 per mile safety and productivity bonus paid quarterly.

• Restarts on the road are covered with 16 hours of pay or a hotel room, up to 2 nights.

• There is also a bonus for referring other drivers.

Equipment and support

• 2026 model-year Freightliner sleepers with automatic transmission, a fridge, power inverters and an APU.

• No slip seating, one dispatcher as your point of contact, no maintenance work for drivers, and roadside help around the clock nationwide.

Time off and coverage

• 2 weeks of paid vacation after 60 days, rising to 3 weeks after 3 years.

• 10 paid holidays each year.

Requirements

• A valid Class A CDL and an age of at least 23.

• At least 1 year of over-the-road experience in tandem sleeper tractors with open deck trailers.

• A strong driving record, which the company reviews when you apply.
