Our company in Los Angeles, CA is looking for a CDL-A driver to run over-the-road freight in a tractor-trailer. You'll haul loads across varied routes while keeping safety and compliance front and center.
Pay
- $0.70 to $0.80 per mile
What you'll do
- Drive tractor-trailers on OTR routes, getting freight delivered on time
- Use GPS to plan efficient paths to each destination
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks to confirm everything meets FMCSA and DOT standards
- Keep the truck in safe, solid working condition
- Handle paperwork for logs, load/unload records and shipment manifests accurately
- Follow proper procedures when freight is loaded or unloaded
Requirements
- Prior experience driving trucks, making deliveries or hauling freight, with route and cargo handling know-how
- Solid understanding of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat rules
- Able to communicate clearly in English for job duties, safety checks and roadside stops
- Strong GPS navigation skills for planning OTR routes
