About this job
Our company is looking for an over-the-road tanker driver to haul bulk liquid product in a tractor and cargo tank trailer. You'll run dispatched routes from pickup to delivery, handling the loading and unloading process yourself.
What you'll do
- Operate an 18-wheel tractor and cargo tank trailer to move bulk liquid loads safely.
- Follow dispatch instructions to pick up product at the shipper and deliver it to the consignee.
- Handle loading and unloading tasks, including opening and closing the dome lid, working valves, and running the pump. You must stay on site during the transfer.
- Report Bill of Lading details to dispatch so billing, accounting, and payroll can be processed.
- Keep your electronic Hours of Service logs current and complete any other required paperwork.
- Check your tractor and trailer before trips to confirm everything is safe and functioning properly.
- Support and follow the company's safety programs.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with Tank and Hazardous Materials (X) endorsements.
- Must pass a DOT pre-employment medical exam and a DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- No more than two moving violation convictions on your driving record in the past three years.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Two or more years of verifiable tractor/semi-trailer driving experience preferred.
- TWIC card preferred.
- This is a safety-sensitive role under DOT rules, so you'll be subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
Our company is an equal opportunity employer and considers all applicants fairly, including accommodations for disabilities or religious practices.
