CDL-A OTR Reefer Driver — 2 Weeks Out, $1,200–$1,300/wk Avg

Run OTR reefer freight on the Western 11 for a major nationwide carrier. You'll be out 2 weeks at a time before coming home to reset, hauling no-touch freight with live load/unload, preload and drop-and-hook stops. New drivers with less than 6 months of recent 53' tractor trailer experience are welcome to start as trainees.

Pay

• Starting pay is $0.51 cpm

• Trainees earn a flat $650 per week during a 4-6 week training period, depending on experience

• Expect 1,900-2,100 miles per week

• You also get $15 per stop

• Weekly average pay runs $1,200-$1,300

• Monthly bonuses are available for safety and on-time performance

Home time

You're out for 2-week stretches, then come home for your reset.

What you'll haul

Reefer freight on the Western 11 lanes, with no-touch freight, live load/unload, preload and drop-and-hook work. Trucks are late-model automatic Freightliner Cascadias.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean record

• Your CDL address has to match the hiring area

• At least 6 months of Class A experience driving a 53' tractor trailer within the past year (school, dump truck, straight truck and garbage truck experience don't count) - or you can start as a trainee

• No terminations from your last driving job

• No SAP drivers; drug screening is done by hair follicle test
