Our company is looking for a dependable CDL-A driver for over-the-road refrigerated hauls, working as a 1099 independent contractor out of Sioux Falls, SD.
Pay
- $0.72+ per mile
- Weekly pay, always on time
- 1099 independent contractor setup
What you'll haul
- Refrigerated freight on OTR routes with multiple stops
- You'll monitor the reefer unit's temperature controls throughout each run
Equipment
- Well-maintained tractor paired with a reefer trailer
- Free Wi-Fi on board
- Tablet loaded with a paid Trucker Path subscription
- In-cab TV, microwave and a large refrigerator
What you'll do
- Run your tractor-trailer safely on OTR lanes and hit delivery windows
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, secure loads, and follow safety and compliance rules (including Hazmat where it applies)
- Navigate routes, keep in touch with dispatch about schedule changes, and watch the trailer's temperature settings
- Handle loading or unloading as needed, coordinating with facilities and using equipment like forklifts when required
- Keep accurate logs for deliveries, mileage and fuel, and report any problems or delays right away
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A
- Clean driving record
- Reliable, safety-minded approach to the job
- Reefer experience helps but isn't required
