CDL-A OTR Linehaul Driver — $0.7790–$0.8440/mile, Frequent Home Time

Our company, an LTL freight carrier operating since 1931, is looking for a linehaul driver to run freight between Estes service centers. Most drivers run on scheduled routes and get home often, with support from the company's operations team along the way.

Pay

• $0.7790 to $0.8440 per mile

• Bonus eligibility

• Scheduled runs with frequent home time for most drivers

What you'll haul

• LTL freight moved tractor-trailer between Estes service centers within the company network

• May include hazardous materials, handled per all applicable safety rules

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements (LCV may also be required)

• At least 21 years old with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience, per FMCSA rules

• Must live within 75 miles of the assigned service center

• Registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Acceptable driving record (MVR), and able to pass a DOT physical, road test, drug screen and background check

• Able to speak and read English to FMCSA standards, and legally authorized to work in the US

• Comfortable with manual and automatic transmissions, chaining tires, and driving through varied terrain and weather, including mountains, snow and heat

• Able to drop and hook trailers, crank landing gear, pull the fifth wheel pin (about 65 lbs of force), and lift up to about 70 lbs as needed

• Steady work history preferred

• Comfortable working independently or as part of a team, under time pressure, and following written safety and operating procedures

Your day-to-day duties include pre- and post-trip inspections, checking gauges and trailer seals, reporting any maintenance issues, keeping required logs and paperwork in order, and using in-cab technology such as electronic logs. You may occasionally work dock shifts depending on business needs.
