Drive OTR dry van freight for a major nationwide carrier, running newer automatic Freightliner Cascadias. Expect to be out 2-3 weeks at a stretch with 2-3 days home, earning time off at a rate of 1 day home for every 7 days worked. No Northeast runs, and all freight is drop and hook or live load/unload with no touch required.
Pay
- Mileage pay scales with experience: $0.54/mile with 0-1 year, $0.55/mile at 2 years, $0.56/mile at 3 years, $0.57/mile at 4 years, and $0.58/mile at 5+ years
- Plan on roughly 2,500 miles weekly
- Weekly earnings typically land between $1,519 and $1,870, which works out to about $78,988-$97,240 a year
- Wage range listed as $1,250.00-$1,350.00 per week
- Direct deposit every week
Home time
- Out 2-3 weeks per run, home 2-3 days
- Earn 1 day of home time for every 7 days on the road

Requirements
- At least 3 months of experience driving a 53' tractor trailer within the past year
- Your CDL address must be in the hiring area
- SAP drivers not accepted; drug screening is done via hair follicle test
