CDL-A OTR Driver — Up to $1,900/Wk Avg, $2K Sign-On

Preferred Cartage is looking for experienced CDL-A drivers to run OTR routes across the Midwest. You'll haul no-touch freight for a small group of dedicated customers, drive newer automatic trucks, and get home on a regular rotation.

Pay

• Average weekly pay of $1,400 to $1,900 before taxes

• $2,000 bonus for signing on

• Weekly paydays

• Extra bonuses for safety and clean DOT inspections

Home time

• Drivers are typically out 2-3 weeks at a stretch, with 3-4 days off between runs

• The company aims to get you home every 7-10 days

• You'll run a minimum of 2,800 miles per week, averaging 3,200-3,500

What you'll haul

• Routes stay in the Midwest, mainly eastern Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska, with occasional trips to states like Utah, New Mexico, Arkansas, or Wisconsin

• No coast-to-coast runs

• 70-80% drop and hook, all no-touch freight

• Freight comes mostly from 5 dedicated accounts, with few loads from brokers

Equipment

• 2024-2026 Kenworth T680 trucks with the VIT package, replaced around every 500,000 miles

• Automatic transmission paired with a Cummins engine

• Each truck has a Carrier APU, inverter, fridge, double bunks, heated and cooled leather seats, and carpeted flooring

Requirements

• At least 2 full years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, no exceptions

• Comfortable driving at night

• No more than 3 preventable or serious accidents/violations in the last 5 years (serious violations include excessive speeding, reckless or careless driving, improper lane changes, following too closely, at-fault collisions, and felony or alcohol/drug convictions)

• No more than 4 jobs in the past year without a reasonable explanation

• No current or past SAP drivers, and no DUI/DWI history

• Reefer experience is a plus but not required

• Pets are not permitted, no exceptions
