About this job
Our company is hiring CDL-A drivers for two types of runs: standard OTR freight and seasonal USPS peak lanes, both paid by the mile with a weekly mileage bonus.
Pay
- Regular OTR: $0.75/mile base on 2024-and-newer trucks, or $0.80/mile base on select 2022-2023 trucks, both loaded and empty.
- USPS peak-season lanes: $0.90/mile base, all miles paid including return loads.
- Hit 3,000+ miles in a week and you'll pick up an extra $0.10/mile on top of your base, pushing totals up to $0.90/mile on OTR runs and $1.00/mile on USPS lanes. Fall under 3,000 miles and you're paid at base rate.
- Paid weekly, and company drivers aren't charged into escrow. Typical weekly earnings fall in the $2,500-$3,500 range. This is a 1099 position.
What you'll haul
- Standard OTR: dedicated, pre-planned freight with live-load pickups, planned days ahead by dispatch.
- USPS seasonal lanes run about 2-3 months, with dedicated outbound USPS freight on drop-and-hook pickups, mostly overnight between midnight and 6 AM; return loads are picked up on the spot market.
Home time
- USPS lane drivers get 2-3 days at home every two weeks.
Equipment
- Fleet is 2023 model year or newer (up to 2026), including Freightliner, Volvo, Peterbilt, Kenworth and International trucks.
- Automatic transmissions, fully loaded with APU, fridge, inverter, microwave, new mattress, BestPass and a fuel card.
- Pets and riders are welcome aboard.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean driving record.
- Reliable on-time pickups and deliveries, following safety and facility rules.
Benefits
- Weekly pay with no escrow deductions for company drivers.
- All miles compensated, loaded and empty.
- Comfortable, well-equipped trucks.
- 24/7 maintenance support.
Our company runs about 500 trucks and says it aims to build long-term, respectful working relationships with its drivers.
