About this job
Our company is looking for a new CDL-A holder to join as an OTR driver trainee in Riverside, CA 92501. You'll pair up with an experienced driver to learn how to run over-the-road routes in a 53' dry van or 53' reefer, with weekly home time.
What you'll learn
- How to handle a Class A tractor-trailer safely
- Running OTR lanes efficiently
- Pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Backing and maneuvering skills
- On-time pickups and deliveries
- Talking with dispatch and customers
- DOT rules and safety practices
Training details
You'll work hands-on with an experienced driver, hauling real loads for real customers. The program emphasizes safety, accuracy and building solid professional habits, with clear steps as you progress.
Pay
Full-time, $86,479.87 to $99,348.27 per year. Training is paid.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- No SAP program involvement
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Safe, dependable and responsible
- Able to communicate well and follow safety procedures
