CDL-A Night Rail Driver — $32/hr, Drop and Hook

Our company needs a reliable CDL-A driver for overnight rail freight runs serving Amazon in South Gate, CA. Loads are drop and hook only, with no touch freight involved.

Schedule

• Night shifts, 5 days a week, 10 hours per shift

• Two rotating schedules: Sunday through Thursday, or Tuesday through Saturday

• Up to 10 hours of overtime available per week

Pay

• Training pay is $30 per hour for the first two weeks

• Pay increases to $32 per hour after training

What you'll haul

• Amazon rail freight routes in and around South Gate, CA

• All drop and hook work, no touch freight

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver loads on time to Amazon facilities

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT rules

• Log your hours and deliveries using an ELD

• Stay in contact with dispatch and warehouse staff to coordinate pickups and drop-offs

• Secure cargo properly and follow safety and traffic laws throughout your overnight route

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Clean driving record, no major violations

• Able to consistently work overnight rail shifts

• Amazon freight or rail logistics experience preferred

• Strong time management to hit tight delivery windows

• Must pass a background check and DOT physical and drug screening
