CDL-A Night Delivery Driver — Home Daily, $82,000–$97,000/Year

Our company in Winter Haven, FL is looking for a CDL-A driver to run night deliveries to local Chick-fil-A restaurants. You'll be home every day, driving new equipment, with a guaranteed minimum pay package and strong benefits.

Schedule

• You'll work Sunday through Friday, starting between 6pm and 12pm (midnight) and running until the deliveries are done.

• Saturdays are off for every driver.

• Expect roughly 40 to 45+ hours a week, depending on the routes and restaurants assigned to you.

• Some flexibility is required around weekends, holidays and rotating shifts as business needs change.

• About 5% travel is expected for visits to restaurant operators, markets, suppliers or related conferences.

Pay

• Guaranteed minimum pay for a 40-hour week, ranging from $82,000 to $97,000 a year depending on your driving experience.

• Anything over 40 hours in a week is paid at an overtime rate.

What you'll haul

• You'll deliver food and supplies to 4-6 Chick-fil-A restaurants per shift, unloading and staging product within each restaurant's delivery window.

• You'll also handle pickups and returns, like pallets and carts, and submit the related paperwork.

• Back at the distribution center, you'll help unload the truck and put equipment away.

• You'll drive a new automatic Kenworth T680 with leather air-ride seating, GPS, and side and rear cameras, pulling a 48-foot Great Dane trailer with electric side lift gates. Battery-powered pallet jacks help move product, and Samsara devices guide you to parking and unloading spots at each stop, plus ELD charging in the cab. An in-house maintenance team keeps the trucks running.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL from your state of residence.

• At least 21 years old.

• High school diploma or GED.

• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience.

• Able to pass a DOT Clearinghouse application, MVR and medical card checks, a drug screen and a background check.

• No preventable DOT-recordable accidents in the last 3 years.

• No more than 2 violations of the same type, and no more than 3 total moving violations, in the past 3 years; no DUI/DWI in the past 10 years.

• Must live within 60 miles of the Winter Haven distribution center.

• Comfortable working in temperatures from -10F to 100F, often at night and in all weather.

• Able to lift up to 65 pounds repeatedly through a shift, with occasional mechanical help to move loads up to 2,000 pounds.

• Good spoken and written English, enough to follow instructions and handle paperwork, labels, pick lists and scanner prompts.

• Prior food-service or key-drop delivery experience is a plus, along with a customer-service mindset and a collaborative attitude.
