CDL-A Long Haul Team Driver — Home 1 Week per Month

Our company in Newark, CA needs a two-person team to run long haul freight across the country. This is a full-time, year-round position based out of the Newark facility, with trucks parked there between runs.

Schedule

• Expect roughly three weeks on the road followed by one week at home each month.

• Experienced teams are welcome to apply together, or the company will pair you with a teammate.

What you'll do

• Haul material and supplies between set locations, swapping loads, paperwork and equipment along the way.

• Load, inspect, fuel and secure your trailer before and during your shift, using tarps, straps and chains as federal cargo rules require.

• Keep your truck, paperwork and terminal workspace organized, and lend a hand to other drivers during load-outs.

• Report any issues on the road to your supervisor right away.

Pay

$0.45 per mile.

Requirements

• Valid Class A license with at least 2 years of driving experience and a clean record.

• Current medical card.

• Able to pass a drug and alcohol screening.

• Strong communication skills for working with clients and coworkers.

• Physically able to lift and handle 75 lb tarps, apply enough force to strap and chain down loads, and sit for extended periods while driving.

• Comfortable with basic computer and phone use for maps, logs and training apps.

• Familiarity with commercial vehicle rules and regulations.
