About this job
This is a dedicated local shuttle driving job out of Tempe, AZ for a Class A driver. You load at the bottling facility, run roughly one load a day to regional distribution centers and are usually back home each night.
Pay
- Weekly pay averages $1,250 and tops out at $1,500
- That works out to about $63,581 a year on average, or $76,140 at the top
- Compensation combines load pay and CPM
- A $1,000 Holiday Start Bonus is offered
Schedule and home time
- Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays
- Shifts typically begin between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM and last 10 to 12 hours
- Home daily, apart from the occasional overnight trip to Chinle
The work
- Loads start at the Tempe, AZ bottling facility
- Destinations are distribution centers in Kingman, Flagstaff, Show Low, Gallup (NM) and Chinle
- Unloading is live and the freight is no-touch
- Slip-seat equipment
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with at least 3 months of verifiable Class A experience
- Hazmat endorsement is preferred at hire; you must earn the Hazmat certification within 90 days
- Clean driving record and a valid DOT Medical Card
- Your own reliable transportation to and from the facility
- Drivers in the SAP program are not eligible
