CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver — Fontana, CA — $19.25/hr + Stop Pay

Haul intermodal containers on a local, dedicated run out of the San Bernardino yard, covering the Inland Empire and Los Angeles area. You'll be back home every day after a 10-hour break, running multiple loads per shift at night.

Pay

• $19.25 per hour

• $18.71 for each qualifying stop

Schedule and home time

• Choose Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday

• Night shifts

• Home daily, with a 10-hour break between shifts

• Most days you'll run the full 11-hour driving limit, and some shifts may stretch to the full 14-hour on-duty window depending on how freight is moving

• Extra work may be offered when available

What you'll haul

• Containers mounted on chassis, as part of a dedicated local intermodal account

• Around 3 to 6 loads per day

• Drop-and-hook, live loads, live unloads and preloaded trailers, depending on the run

• Stops across San Bernardino, Fontana, Ontario, Riverside and surrounding areas, with some runs heading north over the Grapevine to Shafter and Lebec

• Slip-seat setup, with trucks staying at the San Bernardino yard

• Dispatch assigns your route automatically

Requirements

• Class A CDL

• At least 3 months of verifiable Class A driving experience

• Clean driving record

• Current DOT medical card

• SAP drivers not accepted

• Hazmat endorsement needed for some accounts; check with the employer on specific load requirements

• Comfortable driving at night, running several loads a day, and following dispatched routes
