About this job
Our company is looking for a Class A CDL flatbed driver to run local solo routes in Florida, with daily home time and a Monday through Friday schedule. You'll handle load securement for steel and metal freight, starting at 6:00 am each day.
Pay
- Weekly guarantee of $1250, paid weekly
- Daily pay works out to $168.49 per day
- Solo mile pay of $0.212 per mile, based on 500 miles per week
- Solo stop pay of $5.35 per stop, based on 25 stops per week
- A $300 tenure bonus paid four times a year, once each quarter
- Paid training included
Schedule and home time
- Monday through Friday, no weekend work
- Start time is 6:00 am
- Local route with home every day
What you'll haul
- Solo deliveries within Florida
- Day cab tractor (automatic restriction accepted)
- Flatbed trailers, 48' and 53'
- Freight is steel and metal, load securement only
- Trucks are maintained through our company's network of over 800 nationwide maintenance locations with 24/7 roadside support
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Must pass our company's drug screening, background check, motor vehicle check, and DOT physical
- Must pass a our company road test
- Valid Class A license with required endorsements
- Verified tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years
- At least 6 months of flatbed experience
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant rules and procedures
- Some assignments may require added background checks, driving record review, or customer-specific badging
Main duties include following safety and legal requirements, spotting and addressing safety hazards, keeping accurate logs, and loading or unloading freight when needed.
