About this job
Our company is looking for a Class A CDL driver to run solo flatbed routes around South Florida, out of Boca Raton, FL, with home time every day. You'll be loading no freight yourself beyond securing it, and the schedule keeps weekends free.
Pay
- Weekly paychecks totaling $1,600 or more
- Daily rate of $185.65 per day
- Solo mile rate of $0.19 per mile, based on 1,400 miles per week
- City miles pay at $0.23 per mile
- Stop pay of $5.83 per stop, figured on 60 stops per week
- A $300 tenure bonus paid four times a year
- Training is paid
Home time and schedule
- Home daily, running local routes
- Monday through Friday, no weekend work
- Start time is 5:00 AM
What you'll haul
- Solo deliveries throughout South Florida
- Day cab tractor paired with a 48-foot flatbed trailer
- Steel building materials; your job is to secure the load, not handle freight loading or unloading
- Trucks are 36 months old or newer, backed by 24/7 roadside support and fueling at more than 800 maintenance locations nationwide
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with required endorsements
- Verifiable tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the past 3 years, OR 2 years in the past 5 years, OR 5 years in the past 10 years
- Must pass a drug test, background and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol history from past employers over the last 3 years), DOT physical, and a our company road test
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, policies and procedures
- Some assignments may require added screening, such as employment or education checks, driving record review, a road test, or customer-specific badging
