CDL-A Local Driver — Home Daily, $1,400–$1,600/wk

Local CDL-A driving job based out of Montebello, CA, open to newly licensed drivers as well as experienced ones. You'll run local routes, sleep in your own bed every night, and haul no-touch dry van freight.

Pay

• Weekly pay runs $1,400 to $1,600 on average

• That works out to roughly $72,800 to $83,200 a year

• Per-mile rate is $0.58 to $0.70 depending on your experience

Schedule and home time

• Home every day

• Full-time, typically 5 to 6 days a week

• Local lane only

Freight and equipment

• Dry van trailers, all loads 100% no-touch

• Tractors are 2022 model year or newer, automatic transmission

• Trailers are kept in good condition

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Minimum age 21

• Clean driving history, no DUIs or SAP enrollment

• Must clear a DOT physical and a pre-employment drug test

What the job involves

• Driving assigned local routes safely

• Doing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks

• Keeping electronic logs accurate

• Following DOT rules and company safety guidelines

• Staying in touch with dispatch during your shift
