About this job
Our company is looking for a reliable CDL-A driver to run a local delivery route out of Afton, WY. You'll handle a tractor-trailer and hand-unload products like meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries and dry goods for customers on your assigned route, while building good working relationships along the way.
Home time
Most driver trainees run daily routes and get home each night.
What you'll haul
- A mix of grocery and food-service products: meats, produce, frozen items, dry goods and supplies
- Deliveries made to customer locations on a set route
- Physical unloading is part of the job, including hand cart or hand truck work
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with a driving record that meets company insurability standards
- Able to pass required employment testing
- Sufficient English skills to communicate with the public, read traffic signs, respond to official requests, and complete reports and records
- Able to repeatedly lift, push or move loads averaging 40-60 pounds, sometimes up to 100 pounds
- Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred, not required:
- A year of experience delivering to customers
- Six months using a hand cart or hand truck
- Six months working in food and beverage
- Two years of steady work history
