CDL-A Local Delivery Driver — $32–$35/hr

Our company, a family-owned foodservice company serving the greater Bay Area and Sacramento since 1966, needs a CDL-A driver to handle local deliveries out of Santa Rosa, CA. You'll run a company-owned truck, hand product off to local business customers, and keep the route on track.

Pay

• $32.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule

• Monday through Friday

• Start times vary daily, anywhere from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM, based on operational needs

What you'll do

• Load and unload the truck

• Confirm order accuracy with customers, scan products, and get invoice signatures on completed deliveries

• Stick to your assigned route and delivery windows, getting product to the right address on time

• Complete return paperwork and turn it in at Driver Check In

• Keep dispatch and your manager in the loop on delivery changes, injuries, or truck/route problems

• Build good working relationships with customers and follow DOT and company safety rules

Requirements

• Valid California Class A license

• Prior Class A driving experience preferred but not required

• Clean driving record; must provide a current 5-year DMV printout

• Must register with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse before hire

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

• Able to read and speak English to FMCSA standards

• Minimum age 21

• Able to lift or move up to 50 lbs, use a lift gate, dolly/hand truck, scanner and navigation equipment, and handle bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, standing, kneeling and walking as needed

• Comfortable driving in rough weather and working a customer-facing role

• Subject to random, post-accident and reasonable-suspicion drug/alcohol testing as a safety-sensitive position
