CDL-A Local Dedicated Intermodal Driver — Home Daily, $1,600-$1,650/wk

This is a local dedicated intermodal run based out of a South Gate dropyard, hauling containers along the railways across Southern California. You'll be home every day, working a Friday-Tuesday schedule with no-touch freight.

Schedule and home time

• Home daily

• Works Friday through Tuesday

• Shifts start between 2pm and 7pm

• Typical shift runs 10-12 hours

• A 6th day is available if you want extra earnings

What you'll haul

• Drop and hook, plus some live load/unload, all no-touch freight

• Containers picked up and dropped off along Southern California rail lines

• Occasional runs out to the central valley, though these are uncommon

Pay

• $18 per hour straight pay for the 10-12 hour shift

• $0.59 per mile on roughly 900 dedicated miles per week

• Detention pay: $22-$28 per hour

• Drop and hook pay: $45 per stop

• Live load/unload pay: $62 per stop

• Hazmat loads (optional): $30 per load

• Refrigerated loads: $35 per load

• Tenure bonus after one year: $3-$36 per day

• Office work: $315 per day

• San Diego stops: $20 per stop

• Vendor drops: $20 per drop

• New hire training pay: $22 per hour

• Weekly average: $1,596+; yearly average around $83,000

• Posted weekly pay range: $1,600.00-$1,650.00

Requirements

• CDL-A license

• At least 3 months of 53' tractor-trailer experience within the last 6 months, or 6 months of experience within the last year

• Your CDL address must match the hiring area

• Must live within 35 miles of ZIP code 90280

• SAP drivers need to be at least 1 year past program completion

• Hair follicle drug test required
