About this job
Run a local dedicated grocery lane out of the Shafter Distribution Center for a major nationwide carrier. You'll slip-seat a day cab, work a night schedule, and be home every day.
Schedule
- Nights, starting after 2pm
- 5 days on, 2 consecutive days off during the week
- Weekend work included
- Home daily
Freight and routes
- Drop and hook, with some live load/unload - no touch freight
- Typically 2-3 stops per run, with a backhaul returning to the distribution center
- About 10-15 stops per week
Pay
- Weekly average of $1,280-$1,600+ (wage range $1,280.00-$1,600.00 per week)
- Pay is based on experience and length of haul, using mileage band pay
- $15 per stop
- Also includes detention pay and a safe and on-time bonus
- Paid weekly by direct deposit
Equipment
- New automatic Freightliner Cascadias
Requirements
- At least 3 months of 53' tractor trailer experience within the last year
- Your CDL address must match the hiring area
- Hair follicle drug screening - no SAP drivers
