About this job
Our company in Dayton, OH is hiring a CDL-A driver to deliver lubricant and petroleum products locally, with drivers back home every day. You'll run a company truck, load and unload freight, and act as a face of the company for customers.
What you'll haul
- Lubricant and petroleum products, requiring Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or willingness to get them)
Home time
- Home every day
What you'll do
- Deliver products safely while providing strong customer service and product knowledge
- Load and unload the truck and keep accurate inventory records
- Check your vehicle before and after each shift and report any issues
- Follow DOT and OSHA safety rules at all times
- Position the truck carefully for loading and unloading, working with the loading crew
- Help resolve customer concerns and loop in management when needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, plus completed driving school
- Valid, unencumbered Class A CDL
- CDL driving experience preferred
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, or willingness to obtain them
- Able to lift, push and pull over 40 pounds, plus bend, stand and sit for long periods
- Comfortable working around fuel and in hot or cold conditions
Pay and bonuses
- Pay described as competitive, with yearly safety bonuses
- $3,000 sign-on bonus
- Overtime after 40 hours, plus extra pay for training
