CDL-A Dry Van Truck Driver — $55.48–$66.82/hr

Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to haul dry van freight on assigned routes out of Los Angeles, CA. You'll run a tractor-trailer with a manual transmission, handle loading and unloading, and keep freight moving on schedule.

Pay

• $55.48 to $66.82 per hour

What you'll haul

• Dry van freight on set routes

• May also involve refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks or roll-off trucks and related freight handling, depending on the load

Responsibilities

• Drive a manual-transmission tractor-trailer safely to get loads delivered on time

• Load and unload cargo, using forklifts or roll-off equipment when needed, following safety procedures

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip truck and trailer inspections to catch mechanical or safety problems

• Keep accurate records of hours, routes and load details per federal and state rules

• Plan efficient routes while following traffic laws and safety standards

• Keep dispatch updated on delivery progress, delays or problems on the road

• Secure freight properly, including on flatbed, refrigerated or tanker trailers when those are used

Requirements

• CDL-A with solid commercial driving experience, including tractor-trailers and dry vans

• Comfortable and safe operating manual transmission trucks over long distances

• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks and general freight handling

• Skilled at loading and unloading, including forklift operation when called for

• Clean driving record and solid knowledge of commercial safety regulations

• Able to perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks
