About this job
Our company is hiring a Driving Operations Manager to help run transportation across Billerica and Wilmington, Massachusetts, and Manchester, New Hampshire. You'll be based in Billerica and split your time between driving, supporting drivers, keeping equipment ready, and covering nighttime operations.
Pay
- $1,750 per week
- An extra $0.85 per mile for any weekly miles beyond 1,200
Schedule
- Five evening or overnight shifts weekly
- Six shifts weekly during peak season
- On-call for nighttime issues
What you'll do
- Handle driving routes across all three locations
- Help keep vehicles and equipment maintained and ready
- Support QVIs and required inspections
- Run road tests for drivers
- Handle overnight calls about drivers, equipment, or operations
- Flag maintenance needs and track them to resolution
- Encourage safe driving and dependable service
Requirements
- Commercial driving background with a CDL matching the equipment
- Solid grasp of inspections and safe operating procedures
- Some leadership experience, or readiness to take on a driver management role
- Strong communication and follow-through
- Available for evenings, overnights, on-call nights, and the busier peak-season schedule
- CDL A required, plus a Doubles/Triples endorsement (or willingness to get one)
- At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
