About this job
Our company needs a CDL-A linehaul driver to run freight between Sioux Falls, SD, Watertown, SD, and Fargo, ND. You'll work Monday through Friday with a 6:30pm start, and you're home every day with weekends free.
Pay
- $0.76 per mile on single trailers
- $0.80 per mile on doubles
Route and schedule
- Monday-Friday, starting at 6:30pm
- Sioux Falls, SD to Watertown, SD to Fargo, ND
- Home daily, weekends off
What you'll do
- Inspect your vehicle before and after each trip
- Pick up and drop off trailers at customer and terminal locations as dispatch directs
- Keep shipping paperwork in order and ready for DOT inspection
- Drive a tractor-trailer combination over long distances for extended stretches
- Hook and unhook trailers, including raising and lowering landing gear, working fifth wheel release levers, pintle hooks, and safety chains
- Lift and carry freight up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet, and climb in and out of the cab regularly
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 21 years old
- 1 year of commercial driving experience
- No DUI or DWI in the past 3 years
- No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years
- Doubles endorsement required
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required, or willingness to get them (renewal costs reimbursed)
- Must pass a pre-employment skills assessment
