About this job
Our company is hiring a CDL A driver to deliver lumber products to job sites and pick up materials, using a semi-trailer or trailer equipped with a mounted forklift. Routes cover both local and interstate areas around Waverly, NE.
What you'll haul
- Lumber products, delivered and picked up from project areas
- Trailer has a mounted forklift for unloading
Responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up loads on time and damage-free, following DOT rules
- Keep accurate delivery paperwork and signatures
- Maintain ELD logs
- Perform pre-trip checks on mechanical, safety and emergency equipment
- Report any defects, accidents or violations
- Handle customer issues and keep dispatch informed
Requirements
- Valid, unrestricted Class A CDL
- Current DOT certification
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of driving and delivery experience
- Forklift experience required; ELD experience a plus
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Available to work mornings, evenings, weekends and overtime as needed
- Able to lift/carry up to 80 lbs and perform physical tasks like bending, climbing and standing for long periods
