CDL-A Delivery Driver — Home Every Night, $2,500 Bonus

Our company is hiring a CDL-A delivery driver in Tallahassee, FL to bring meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment and supplies to customer locations on local routes. You'll be home each night and get a $2,500 retention bonus.

Pay

• Training rate: $25.65 per hour, plus time and a half for hours worked over 40 in a week

• Training lasts a minimum of two weeks, and may run longer at management's discretion

• Once you're delivering solo, you move to a component pay structure

• Base rate for this role generally falls between $25.00 and $40.00, depending on experience, skills, and location

• $2,500 retention bonus

• At least 40 hours per week guaranteed, with paid overtime

Schedule

• Routes run Monday through Saturday, with Saturdays required; you'll get two weekdays off

• Shifts start between 3:00 am and 6:00 am depending on the route

What you'll haul

• Deliver meats, produce, frozen items, groceries, dry goods, equipment and supplies to customer drop-off sites

• Unload freight by hand truck and place it in the customer's storage area

• Expect frequent stops, lifting up to 80 pounds repeatedly, and driving in all weather

• Confirm deliveries with customers and collect payment (cash or check) when required

Requirements

• Minimum age 21

• Valid CDL-A from your state of residence with needed endorsements, and DOT qualified

• At least six months of commercial truck driving experience, or three months delivering food/beverage products

• Must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a federal database tracking CDL holders' drug and alcohol violations (required by DOT)
