CDL-A Delivery Driver — $35.97–$40.08/hr, Off Sundays

Our company is looking for a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Lenexa, KS to handle local foodservice delivery routes with touch freight. You'll drive, unload and deliver product directly to customers while keeping safety and service front and center.

Pay

• Starting rate of $35.97 per hour, with overtime available

• Base rate for the role ranges from $35.97 to $40.08 depending on experience, skills and other factors

Schedule

• Works Monday through Saturday, with Sunday off plus one additional weekday off

• Shifts begin between 2 AM and 6 AM

What you'll haul

• Foodservice products delivered to customer accounts

• Fully touch freight: you unload by hand, two-wheeler or ramp and place items in designated storage spots

What the job involves

• Driving safely on highways and city streets, including backing into tight dock spaces

• Confirming deliveries with customers and getting signatures

• Representing our company with professional, friendly service

• Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Handling collections or payments on some accounts

• Taking on other tasks as assigned by your manager

Physical demands

• Repeatedly lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or lowering products weighing 20 to 80+ lbs each shift

• Working outdoors in all weather, with 10 or more stops per shift

• Spending time in cold storage areas as low as 0 degrees

• Regular grasping, sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, twisting and using fine motor skills

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL from your state of residence with required endorsements and DOT qualifications

• At least 21 years old

• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or 3 months specifically in food or beverage delivery

• Able to operate a manual transmission; may be preferred or required depending on location

• Able to read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, communicate with officials and complete reports

• Must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a federal requirement for all commercial drivers tracking drug and alcohol program compliance
