CDL-A Delivery Driver — $30/hr, Home Every Night

Our company is hiring a CDL-A delivery driver in Santa Ana, CA to run scheduled routes hauling compressed gas and liquid cylinders along with hard goods to industrial customers. You'll load and unload the truck, swap out empty cylinders for full ones on site when it's safe, pick up empties, and get signatures on load manifests for each stop.

Pay

• $30/hr

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, day shift

• You start in the morning and finish in the late afternoon

• Home every night

What you'll haul

• Compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders, cryogenic dewars and related hard goods, delivered on a set route of up to 20 tons per load

• You may also run a forklift or pallet jack to move product between the warehouse and your truck

What the job involves

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, noting and reporting any issues right away

• Confirm your load paperwork is complete and accurate, and that your truck's weight meets DOT limits before you leave

• Handle customer questions or complaints on the spot, and flag any site you feel isn't safe

• Collect and turn in customer payments, and keep delivery records current per DOT rules

• At some branches, you may also stock shelves or displays, enter orders, or process payments through SAP

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 1 year of Class A driving experience with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements, and a clean, safe driving record

• Forklift experience is a plus

• Working knowledge of DOT rules for commercial drivers

• Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills; able to read maps and follow a route

• Must pass DOT pre-employment and random drug testing
