CDL-A Dedicated Truck Driver — Average $1,871/Week, Home Weekends

Our company has a full-time, dedicated CDL-A driving job based in Bossier City, LA. You'll run known routes with regular customers, hauling portable storage units to storage centers and hub facilities across the 48 contiguous states (excluding NYC deliveries, though you may pass through). This is an assigned sleeper position.

Pay

• Averages $1,871 per week, or $97,292 per year

• Starting rate of 61 cpm

• $27 per stop, with drivers typically making 6-9 stops weekly, each taking 30 minutes to an hour

• Average weekly mileage of 2,800

• Extra pay for detention, breakdowns and layovers

• Company-sponsored per diem program

Home time

• You'll typically head home Fridays and head back out Mondays

• Expect to be out at least 2 weeks, sometimes averaging 3

• Two weeks out earns you two days home; three weeks out earns three days home

• A mandatory 34-hour reset applies while you're on the road

• Routes depend on where freight is available

• The company will try to work with your preferred days off

• Drivers generally log 70 hours across 8 days

• You'll get your next day's dispatch, start time and delivery time the day before

What you'll haul

• Portable storage containers delivered to storage centers or hubs

• You're responsible for strapping and securing the units

• Unloading and reloading is handled by staff at the destination

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years

• Minimum age 21

• Must live within 100 miles of the location

• Clean record: no reckless driving, DUI or DWI convictions in the last 5 years

• No license suspensions or revocations tied to moving violations in the last 5 years

• No major violations in the past 12 months (such as speeding 15+ mph over, tailgating, unsafe passing, or a CMV offense linked to a fatality)

• 3 or fewer moving violations over the past 3 years

• No preventable DOT-recordable accidents in the past 3 years

• Physically able to lift side kits (46 lbs) and securing hardware (80 lbs), climb on and off the flatbed, hook and unhook trailers (90 lbs of force), complete pre-trip inspections, handle paperwork like fuel tickets and delivery receipts, and sit for long stretches while driving
