About this job
This dedicated Dollar Tree account runs out of Warrensburg, MO, hauling dry freight that you hand-unload with rollers at customer stops. You'll be home every week for your 34-hour reset, with a steady, predictable schedule.
What you'll haul
- Dry freight only, delivered to Dollar Tree locations
- Routes cover Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico, the Dakotas and Missouri
- Typically 2 loads and around 1,750 miles weekly
- You'll be unloading trailers by hand using rollers, so this suits drivers who want to stay on their feet rather than just sit behind the wheel
Home time
Expect to be home weekly for a required 34-hour reset.
Pay
- Paid by the mile (CPM) plus load pay
- Weekly minimum of $1,400 guaranteed, as long as you're accident-free, have no service failures or refusals, and stay available 5.5 days
- Safe and on-time bonus worth up to 3% of your mileage pay, weekly
- Layover pay: $200 per 24-hour day
- Breakdown pay: $200 per 24-hour day
- Retraining pay: $200 per day
- Backhaul pickup: $25 per load ($15 per load plus $15 dunnage for St George backhaul pickups)
- Mentors earn $50 per day, up to $250 weekly, plus $50 per road test conducted
- $25 bonus for a clean DOT inspection
Equipment
This is a solo role on one of the newest fleets in the country. You won't take the truck home; instead, you'll coordinate with your account manager to park it somewhere safe and secure.
