CDL-A City Driver — Home Daily, Weekends & Holidays Off

Our company, a New England LTL carrier based in Boscawen, NH, is looking for a CDL-A City Driver to handle local pickups and deliveries. You'll be home every day, with weekends and holidays off.

What you'll do

• Operate a commercial vehicle safely, following traffic laws and company safety rules

• Pick up and deliver freight to local customers

• Keep accurate logs and inspection reports to stay compliant with state and federal rules

• Follow federal rules if hauling hazardous materials

• Treat customers professionally and represent the company well

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, report mechanical problems, and keep your truck clean

Home time

• Home daily

• Weekends and holidays off

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A

• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience

• Clean driving record: no license suspension or revocation over 30 days in the past 36 months (failure-to-pay/appear suspensions are okay if there was no conviction for driving while suspended); no serious traffic violation convictions or citations in the past 60 months; no more than three moving violations in the past 36 months; no more than one at-fault accident and two violations combined in the past 36 monthsated); no more than three moving violations in the past 36 months; no more than one at-fault accident and two violations combined in the past 36 months

• Must pass a DOT physical exam

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen with a negative result

• Prior employers must confirm negative controlled substance and alcohol results for the past three years

• Ten-year work history check required; gaps of 30+ days must be explained

• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements are preferred, not required at hire, but must be obtained within 90 days

• Must pass a company driving test
