CDL-A Backhaul Driver — $29.31/hr

Our company in Oklahoma City, OK is hiring a CDL-A Backhaul Driver to handle dock bumping and vendor pickups. You'll move freight between vendors and company drop-off points, then return equipment to the division once the route is done.

Pay

• $29.31 per hour

What you'll do

• Drive your truck safely to vendor locations and company drop-off sites

• Check that freight on the truck matches what's expected, confirm trailer temperatures, and verify accuracy with vendors

• Bring the tractor and trailer back to the division after finishing your route

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your equipment

• Couple and uncouple the tractor and trailer as needed

• Handle frequent stops, 10 or more per shift, including in bad weather

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A from your state of residence, with the right endorsements and DOT qualifications

• At least 21 years old

• At least six months of commercial driving experience, or three months if that experience is in food or beverage delivery

• Able to drive a manual transmission is preferred, and required in some locations

• Able to travel 2-3 times a week

• Able to read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, respond to official requests, and fill out reports

• Must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a federally required database tracking drug and alcohol violations for CDL holders; registration info is at clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov
