CDL-A/B Local P&D Driver — $21–$22/hr — Food Industry

Our company is hiring a full-time Pickup & Delivery driver in Lafayette, LA to move food products between local stops on a set route. You'll handle loading, unloading and on-time handoffs while keeping food safety standards in check.

Pay

• $21.00 to $22.00 per hour

What you'll haul

• Food products, picked up and dropped off at various locations in the local area

Responsibilities

• Drive a commercial vehicle to move food products between stops

• Load, unload and secure product correctly

• Stick to your assigned route and timing so pickups and drop-offs stay on schedule

• Keep in touch with dispatch, customers and warehouse staff

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Keep accurate logs and delivery paperwork

• Follow food safety and handling rules

• Treat customers well at every stop

Requirements

• Valid CDL, Class A or Class B, with a clean driving record

• Background in pickup-and-delivery work, food industry experience preferred

• Understanding of food safety and handling rules

• Able to lift and move heavy items

• Strong communication, organization and time management

• Open to varying schedules and overtime when needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
