Box Truck Driver — $200.00 per day

Our company in West Columbia, SC is looking for a Box Truck Driver to move freight safely and on schedule. You'll handle local, regional or OTR routes, and the job may also involve tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers or refrigerated trailers depending on the load.

Pay

What you'll do

• Drive box trucks and other equipment types (tractor-trailer, flatbed, tanker, or reefer) on local, regional or OTR runs

• Use GPS tools to plan routes and keep deliveries on time

• Load, unload and secure freight by hand according to safety standards

• Follow FMCSA and DOT rules, including hazmat regulations when hauling dangerous goods

• Keep delivery paperwork, logs and manifests accurate and up to date

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to catch maintenance or safety concerns

• Stay in contact with dispatch about delivery progress and any route changes

Requirements

• Valid CDL with the endorsements needed for the equipment you'll drive

• Solid background in commercial truck driving, delivery, or freight hauling

• Comfortable with manual loading and unloading methods

• Able to use GPS systems and plan efficient routes

• A plus if you've worked with refrigerated trailers, hazmat loads, or tanker/flatbed freight

• Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat compliance rules

• Confident operating a manual transmission truck

• Careful and thorough with inspections and cargo security

• Clean driving record with a strong safety history
