Box Truck Driver — $1,200–$1,900/Week

Our company in Santa Maria, CA is looking for a driver to handle freight deliveries on a mix of routes. The posting describes work with box trucks as well as other commercial vehicles, so duties may vary by assignment.

Pay

• $1,200.00 - $1,900.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Freight moved on over-the-road routes, with possible work involving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialty equipment like roll-off or dump trucks

• Some loads may include hazardous materials, handled under required hazmat safety rules

Responsibilities

• Drive safely while following FMCSA and DOT rules

• Load and unload cargo by hand or with equipment like forklifts, making sure everything is secured

• Plan and adjust routes using GPS to hit delivery windows

• Keep accurate records of pickups, deliveries, and cargo handling

• Perform pre-trip inspections, checking brakes, lights, tires, fluids, and load security

Requirements

• Solid background in commercial truck driving across different types of routes

• Comfortable with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, forklifts, or dump trucks a plus

• Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and hazmat regulations

• Able to drive a manual transmission and handle freight manually

• Confident using GPS navigation for planning and real-time route changes

• Experience with OTR or local freight delivery preferred
