Box Truck Delivery Driver — $25/hr

Our company in San Jose, CA is hiring a delivery driver to run a company box truck, moving parts to and from customers and handling the paperwork and payments that go with each stop.

Pay

• $25 an hour

What you'll do

• Load and unload the truck by hand at the warehouse and at each stop

• Check the manifest and paperwork match what's actually on the truck before and after each delivery

• Get signatures from customers confirming the parts received are correct

• Bring back any returned parts and note them properly on the manifest

• Collect payment from customers when needed

• Drive safely and follow all traffic laws and FMCSA rules

• Give customers good service at every drop-off or pickup

• Complete required annual training and follow company policies

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• At least 21 years old

• At least 1 year of relevant experience

• Must meet DOT physical and testing standards and know DOT/FMCSA rules

• Must qualify for the company's vehicle insurance program

• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and handle physical tasks like bending, climbing stairs, kneeling and standing for long stretches

• Occasional exposure to tight spaces, extreme temperatures, loud noise and the need for protective gear

• Some travel, including overnight trips, may be required depending on the role

Preferred but not required: a high school diploma or GED, six months of delivery driving experience, and some warehouse background.
