Armed Driver Guard — $26.00/hr, Part-Time, Lihue, HI

Our company is hiring an Armed Driver Guard in Lihue, HI to run armored vehicle routes, servicing banks, ATMs and retail customers. You'll work as part of a two-person team handling cash, coin and valuables.

Pay

• Starts at $26.00 per hour

• Increases to $29.90 per hour after four months on the TPS route

What you'll do

• Operate automatic-transmission armored vehicles and other company vehicles on assigned routes

• Service ATMs and Smart Safes

• Handle customer stops: drop off change orders and pick up deposits

• Load and unload cargo, including bags and boxes of coin

• Count, record and sign for all cargo you handle

• Take on other tasks assigned by your manager

Schedule

• Part-time, averaging 20 to 30 hours per week

• Shifts fall between 6am and 6pm, Monday through Saturday

• About 90-95% of the job is spent in an air-conditioned vehicle, in separate front and rear compartments

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Need a minimum of 3 years of driving history (you'll have to pull your own motor vehicle record in person from the courthouse; Loomis reimburses this fee once you're onboarded)

• Must be able to get a Medical Examiner's Certificate through a US DOT-approved examiner

• Must hold or be able to obtain a valid firearms permit and meet your state's firearms and security guard licensing rules (some states require a high school diploma or GED for this license)

• Loomis covers the cost of required security and firearms qualifications, licensing and permits

You'll also need to pass a Human Performance Evaluation covering physical tasks like lifting (up to 50 lbs), carrying loads across distances, pushing/pulling with a sled, grip strength testing and climbing steps of varying heights multiple times.
